Il Congiuntivo:
Rule 1: Must have 2 clauses. The main clause uses a verb that calls for the second clause to be conjugated as congiuntivo. This first verb typically expresses some sort of opinion, emotion, hope,, etc. Congiuntivo can also be called for by the use of the impersonal.
Rule 2: The main clause and subordinate clause much have two different subjects.

* -care and -gare endings use "h" in front of the "i" to keep the hard sound. Ex. pagare --> (voi) paghiate
*verbs ending with -iare do not double the "i"
